Who I am
My
background
Call it copywriting, ghostwriting or mercenary typing: writing is what I do for a living. Ever since I was a kid, I’d devour any text I had in sight, from cereal packaging to washing machine manuals. After a first master’s degree in languages and a second one in business management, I moved to the UK to build work experience in a US-based tech company. After my return to Belgium and a two-year stint in the capacity of copywriter-in-residence at Dropsolid in Ghent, I took my writing freelance. I help brands to get their story across, in different formats. Whitepapers, interviews, opinion articles, app copy and website copy are only a few examples of what I do.

How I see writing
Writing is one of those skills that’s easy to learn, but hard to master. Being a good writer that understands their target audience takes more than absorbing text and years of writing practice: going out and listening to people in the widest possible range of sectors is crucial to find out what makes us tick as humans and what message will resonate with a certain target audience. Having lived in three different countries, with countless clients across sectors, I’m pretty confident I’ll be able to find the right tone of voice for your audience.

My human side
If we’re going to work together, it helps if you already know a little bit about me. Next to obvious hobbies like reading and writing, I’m also into triathlon. As I spend my time between Belgium and sunny Spain, there’s no excuse for not training! I also hold a Spanish pilot’s licence and love to go out flying in the Tecnam P92, a tiny two-seater, on weekends. The picture on the left is me, as pilot in command. (I just really wanted to write that, as it makes me sound very important.)
